The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) joined military athletes at the maiden DHQ/CISM World Military Beach Wrestling Championship held on 9 September 2026 at West Side Beach Resort, Lekki, Lagos. The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, was represented by the Air Officer Commanding, Logistics Command, Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Suleh, in the presence of senior military officers and dignitaries. The championship promoted fitness, discipline, resilience, teamwork and esprit de corps, while strengthening bonds and interoperability among Service personnel, qualities that enhance cohesion and effectiveness in ongoing joint operations and contribute to a united, resilient and mission-ready Armed Forces of Nigeria.
