NAF FOSTERS INTER-SERVICE LOGISTICS COLLABORATION AT NIGERIAN NAVY 2026 LOGISTICS SEMINAR

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reinforced its commitment to enhanced inter-Service cooperation and joint operational effectiveness through its participation in the Nigerian Navy 2026 Logistics Seminar, held from 16–17 September 2026 at the Nigerian Navy Logistics College, Dawakin Tofa, Kano State. Themed “Repositioning the Nigerian Navy Logistics System for Enhanced Operational Effectiveness,” the seminar provided a platform for sharing expertise and strengthening logistics systems in support of operational effectiveness. 

 

Representing the NAF, the Chief of Logistics, Air Vice Marshal Henry Yurkusi, presented a paper titled “Defence Equipment Acquisition Strategies as Applicable to the Defence Sector” during the Second Strategy Session on Equipment Acquisition and Operational Effectiveness. Also, the Commandant, Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Air Vice Marshal Adeniran Ademuwagun, contributed a paper titled “Optimizing Inventory Management with Digital Procurement Practices,” delivered by Air Commodore MS Lawal mni, during the Fourth Strategy Session on Leveraging Technology Driven Procurement for Effective Service Provision and Operational Efficiency.  

 

The NAF’s participation underscores the importance of jointness, knowledge sharing and technology-driven logistics in strengthening operational readiness, improving resource utilisation and sustaining the collective combat capability of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
