NAF ENHANCES INTER-AGENCY SYNERGY WITH STRATEGIC AIRLIFT OF NIPSS COURSE PARTICIPANTS ACROSS SEVEN STATES

In a demonstration of its commitment to national development through enhanced inter-agency cooperation, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has airlifted participants of Senior Executive Course (SEC) 47, 2025, of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Plateau State, to and from seven states in Nigeria. The states visited include Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Lagos, Benue, and Ondo. The airlift, conducted using a C-130 Hercules aircraft, forms part of a strategic study tour aligned with the course theme, “Blue Economy and Sustainable Development in Nigeria: Issues, Challenges and Opportunities.” This year’s study theme reflects the Federal Government’s growing emphasis on harnessing the vast maritime and aquatic resources of the nation for sustainable economic growth.

More than just projecting force through bombs and rockets, the NAF continues to redefine air power by extending its capabilities into humanitarian support, logistics, and socio-economic development. The operation facilitated the seamless movement of the participants, comprising senior officials from various sectors of government, security agencies, and private institutions, who are undertaking a study tour of the various states in line with the institute’s mandate to foster high-level policy formulation and implementation. By facilitating the trip, the NAF continues to play a pivotal role in strengthening whole-of-government approaches to national development. The mission reflects the Chief of the Air Staff’s command philosophy of “purposeful training and mission-oriented force development,” particularly through strategic enablers like mobility support for key national initiatives.
