On 22 Dec 2023 , the Air Council approved the promotion of 22 Air Commodores to the rank of Air Vice Marshals and 16 Group Captains to Air Commodores. Yesterday, 29 December 2023, the newly promoted senior officers were decorated with their new ranks by the Honourable Minister of State for Defence, National Assembly members and service Chiefs before their families, friends and well wishers.
