The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has commended the Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association (NAFOWA) for its decades-long service in advancing family welfare and strengthening the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) community. Receiving the newly inaugurated NAFOWA National President, Mrs Ngozi Enderline Aneke, and her executives during their maiden courtesy visit to Headquarters Nigerian Air Force on 2 December 2025, the CAS described the association as a vital pillar in the military support structure. He reaffirmed that NAFOWA’s contributions in education, healthcare, empowerment, and humanitarian outreach continue to enhance the morale and stability of Air Force personnel, ultimately improving operational effectiveness.

Air Marshal Aneke emphasized that a strong and stable home front remains essential to the NAF’s operational readiness, noting that the wellbeing of families directly influences the performance and focus of personnel in the field. He pledged sustained support from the NAF leadership, including deeper collaboration, resource backing, and infrastructure development to drive NAFOWA’s programmes. He applauded the association’s renewed focus on widows, dependants of fallen heroes, and vulnerable families, stressing that these initiatives align with the Air Force’s commitment to professionalism, discipline, and people-centred leadership.

In her remarks, the NAFOWA President expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve and outlined her strategic roadmap to expand welfare and empowerment initiatives across Air Force communities. She reaffirmed the association’s dedication to strengthening family support systems, enhancing educational outcomes, and establishing sustainable projects that benefit personnel and dependants.
