CHIEF OF MEDICAL SERVICES (CMS)
Air Vice Marshal ANTHONY CHIDI EKPE was born on 18 May 1968 at Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He hails from Isiala-Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State. He enlisted into the Nigerian Air Force as a member of Direct Regular Course 10 on 2 February 1998 and was commissioned Flight Lieutenant on 18 July 1998.
COURSES ATTENDED AND QUALIFICATIONS
The Senior Officer has attended several courses, conferences, scientific seminars and workshops and his qualifications include:
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos.
Diploma in General Surgery (Dip Gen Surg) from the Second Military Medical University Shanghai, China.
Consultant Family Physician/Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in Family Medicine (FMCFM).
Passed Staff Course (psc) from the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, Nigeria.
Certification in Mass Casualty Evacuation from the Sarousky Medical Centre, Tel Aviv, Israel.
Air Vice Marshal AC Ekpe has held several appointments some of which are:
Commanding Officer Medical Wing at 013 Quick Response Force Minna, 041 Communications Depot Shasha, 305 Special Mobility Group Calabar, 403 Flying Training School Kano and 405 Helicopter Combat Training Group Enugu.
Commanding Officer Clinical Wing at 461 Nigerian Air Force Hospital Kaduna and 661 Nigerian Air Force Hospital Ikeja.
Force Medical Officer at the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL).
Head of Aero-Medical Team at Nigeria Level 2 Hospital of the United Nations African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID).
Coordinator (Veteran Affairs), North Central Zone of Defence Health Maintenance Limited.
Commander 461 Nigerian Air Force Hospital Kaduna.
Currently the Chief of Medical Services, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force Abuja.

Air Vice Marshal AC Ekpe is happily married to Mrs Prisca Chidi Ekpe and the union is blessed with children. The Senior Officer enjoys long distance driving, cooking and watching nature.
