BACKGROUND

Air Vice Marshal David Dung Pwajok, hails from Du in Jos South LGA of Plateau State. He attended University of Jos Staff School from 1978 - 1983 for his primary education and Baptist High School Jos from 1983 - 1988 for his secondary education. He gained admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy on 17 Sep 89 as a member of 41 RC and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Electrical/Electronics) in 1993. He was commissioned into the Nigerian Air Force on 17 Sep 94 in the rank of pilot officer.

Air Vice Marshal DD Pwajok has attended both military and civil courses. They include Officers Basic Communication Course at 320 TTG 1995-1996, Ab-initio Flying Training at 301 FTS Kaduna 1999-2001 and Junior Command and Staff Course at AFCS, Jan-Jun2002. Others are Professional Course on NIGCOMSAT-1 satellite at the Chinese Academy of Space Technology (CAST) Beijing 2005-2007, Senior Statt Course at AFCSC Jaji 2008-2009, Masters in International Affairs and Diplomacy at ABU Zaria 2008-2010, Law on Combat ng Terrorism Course at Defense Institute of International Legal Studies Newport Rhodes Island USA (Mar-Apr 12), National Defence College Nigeria 2016-2017 and Senior Defence Management Course (DS Comparative) at College of Defence Management, Secundrabad, India as well as MPhil Security and Strategic Studies from NDA 2019-2020.

Air Vice Marshal DD Pwajok has held several appointments commensurate to his rank and experience. These include: Communication officer403 EMD Shasha 1996-1997, OC Communication Squadron 81AMG Benin 1997-1999 and OC Communication Squadron HQ NAF Camp Lagos 2002-2003. Others are CO Frequency Management Centre 403 EMD Shasha 2009-2011, CO Dalet Battalion NDA Kaduna 2011-2012, Deputy Director Space Technology HQ NAF 2012 -2014, Ag Director Launch Services and Space Ops DA 2014 - Mar 2016, Deputy Dice Communications HQ NAF (Sep 17-Oct 17), Deputy Directo: Force Management HQ NAF 2017-2019 and Directing Staff NDC Nigeria 2019 -2021. He also served as Director Information Technology HQ NAF Mar 2021 - Jan 2022, Nigerian Air Force Ombudsman Jan 2022 - Jun 2023 and Director Technical Intelligence Jun 2023 - Sep 2024. He also served as Director of Communication Headquarters Nigerian Air Force from Dec 2024 – Aug 2025) and served as Director Electronics Engineering Research at Air Force Research and Development Institute in Aug 2025 - Nov 2025. He is currently the Chief of Communication Information Systems at HQ NAF.

Medals and honours awarded him are FSS, MSS, DSS, GSS fdc (+) COREN MNIM as well as the Golden Jubilee medals among others. Air Vice Marshal David Dung Pwajok is happily married to Mrs Abigail Pwajok and the union is blessed with 4 sons.
