LOGISTICS BRANCH

BACKGROUND

The erstwhile Logistics and Communications Branch was unbundled on 5 July 2017 with each becoming independent branches. The Logistics Branch is responsible for the formulation of policies, planning and monitoring of all logistics functions in support of Nigerian Air Force operations.


Directorates under the Logistics Branch
  • Directorate of Logistics

    The Directorate of Logistics (DOL) is the precedent directorate in the Logistics Branch and is responsible for all logistics matters in the NAF. The Directorate is to be headed by a regular officer of the Supply specialty with an established rank of Air Vice Marshal (AVM)..

  • Directorate of Procurement

    The Directorate of Procurement is responsible for all procurements and other logistics matters in the NAF. It is to initiate and monitor the implementation of policies and directives on procurement, receipt, storage and issuance of all equipment and supplies. The Directorate is headed by a regular officer of the Supply specialty with an established rank of Air Vice Marshal (AVM)..

  • Directorate of Works

    The Directorate of Works is responsible for formulating policies relating to works services in the NAF. In addition, the directorate is to initiate and monitor the implementation of policies on the construction and maintenance of NAF fixed assets and related facilities. The Directorate is to be headed by a Works officer with an established rank of Air Commodore (Air Cdre).

  • Directorate of Services

    The Directorate of Services, amongst others, is to ensure the provision and maintenance of infrastructural services at various NAF locations.
