The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, received the Director General of the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON), Major General BI Alaya, during a courtesy visit held recently at Headquarters Nigerian Air Force (NAF). The visit provided an opportunity for the DG to introduce the Africa International Defence Exhibition (AFRIDEX) Committee and present the President of DMG Events, who delivered an insightful overview of the upcoming continental exhibition.

Welcoming the delegation, the CAS commended the initiative and highlighted AFRIDEX as a strategic platform for showcasing Nigeria’s defence potential and strengthening collaboration within the global security environment. He reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s strong commitment to building local capacity, advancing indigenous research and development, and supporting national efforts to enhance self-reliance in defence production.

Air Marshal Aneke further assured the team of the NAF’s readiness to partner with DICON and other stakeholders to drive sustainable growth within Nigeria’s defence ecosystem. He emphasized that investments in homegrown technologies and local manufacturing not only boost operational capabilities but also contribute significantly to national security and economic development.
