The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, today, 10 December 2024, paid a working visit to the Honorable Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Prof. Joseph Utsev. The visit aimed to deepen collaboration between the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and the Ministry in areas of water resource management and infrastructure development across NAF bases. Discussions focused on enhancing potable water supply and other critical support systems to bolster the operational efficiency of the NAF.
The Honorable Minister commended the NAF for its commitment to national security and development. He expressed keen optimism about the potential for collaboration and reaffirmed the Ministry’s readiness to support the NAF in achieving its developmental goals, particularly in improving access to potable water and upgrading infrastructure across selected NAF bases.
During the visit, the CAS highlighted the importance of strengthening strategic partnerships to address critical infrastructure needs, especially in Kaduna. He appreciated ongoing collaboration between the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) and the Water Resources Institute, Kaduna, noting the need for deeper engagement towards providing the necessary water management and other infrastructure to support AFIT’s growing capacity for aviation and engineering training. Both parties agreed to work closely to explore innovative solutions for shared challenges, with a focus on advancing national development.
