CHIEF OF MEDICAL SERVICES (CMS)

BACKGROUND

  1. Air Commodore Ikechukwu Joseph Ogbodo was born on 20 January 1970 at Akpugo in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State and hails from the same place. He enlisted into the Nigerian Air Force as a member of Direct Regular Course 10 on 2 February 1998 and was commissioned Flight Lieutenant on 18 July 1998.

  1. The Senior Officer has attended several courses, conferences, scientific seminars and workshops and his qualifications include:
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the College of Medicine, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
  • Diploma in Aviation Medicine (Dip Av Med) from the Institute of Aerospace Medicine, Indian Air Force, Bengaluru, India.
  • Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in Family Medicine (FMCFM).
  • Passed Junior Staff Course (pjsc) from the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, Nigeria.

  1. Air Cdre IJ Ogbodo is happily married to Mrs Calista Ogbodo and the union is blessed with children.  The Senior Officer enjoys reading, watching television and observing nature.
