The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Mshl Sadique Abubakar today play host to the National Peace Ambassador and Human Rights Advocate, Splendour Joe King. The 10-year old was at the Headquarters Nigerian Air Force (HQ NAF) to promote her peace project and to seek support for her forthcoming National Peace Summit scheduled for 12 December 2016 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja. The theme of the Summit is “The Roles of Children on Peace Building” and the goal is to create awareness among children on the danger and impact of terrorism with a view to nip the menace in the bud.
Miss Splendour used the occasion of her visit to present a book titled “Effects of Terrorism on Children” to the CAS, requesting that the book be adopted for use in NAF Schools. The book has the approval of Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) and Federal Ministry of Education. Splendour was accompanied on the visit by both parents and friends.
