1.       AVM John Kwasu Baba was born on 23 Jun 64 at Sako.  He hails from Zangon Kataf LGA of Kaduna State.  He was enlisted into the NAF as a member of NDA RC 35 on 19 Jan 84 and was commissioned pilot officer on 20 Dec 86.  He was promoted to the rank of AVM WEF 19 Jan 16.

b.      Basic flying Training Course at 403 Flying Training School Kano.

3.     The Snr Offr has attended several civil courses with the following qualifications:

a.       Bachelors of Science (BSc Hons) in Economics from University of Abuja.

b.       Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Finance and Investment from Bayero University Kano.

c.       Masters in Philosophy (MPhil) from Bangladeshi University of Professionals.

d.       Commercial Pilot License (CPL) from Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.

4.        The Snr Offr has held several appointments some of which include the following:

b.       Military Assistant to Chief of Training and Operations (then AOO) HQ NAF Abuja.

c.       Aide De Camp to Chief of the Air Staff.        

d.       Directing Staff, Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji.

e.       Deputy Director Peacekeeping Operations – Headquarters Nigerian Air Force.

f.       Commanding Officer Operational Conversion Unit, 101 Air Defence Group.

g.       Group Operation Officer, 101 Air Defence Group.

h.       Acting Commander, 101 Air Defence Group.

i.       Commander 403 Flying Training School, Kano.

j.       Command Training Officer, Headquarters Air Training Command (then TC), Kaduna.

k.       Director of Training, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, Abuja.

l.       Pioneer Commandant Air Force War College (AFWC) Nigeria Makurdi.

5.        The Senior Officer has the following awards and medals:

a.       Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI).

8.       AVM Baba is married to Mrs Nevan Vanessa Baba and blessed with 3 children, 2 boys and one girl.
