Chief of Standard and Evaluation (COSE)

Air Vice Marshal Salihu Bala-Ribah was appointed Chief of Standards and Evaluation on 9 Apr 2015. Until his recent appointment, he was the Air Officer Commanding Training Command Kaduna, and before then served as the Director of Plans Headquarters Nigerian Air Force (2012-2014). He once Commanded 203 Medium Airlift Group Ilorin (2011-2012) and also held the position of Fleet Training Officer at the Presidential Air Fleet Abuja (2010-2011). His professional military training includes National Defence Course, Bangladesh (2009), Senior Staff Course Jaji (1999-2000) and Junior Staff Course, Jaji (1994). As a Transport Pilot, AVM Bala-Ribah has done a number of typerating courses on different aircraft type. These include the Falcon 7x, Gulfstream 5, HS125-800, Falcon 900, G222 and Do-228 aircraft. He had his Basic Transport Conversion Course in 1988 at 301 Flying Training School, Kaduna. Bala-Ribah enlisted into the Nigerian Air Force on 3 July 1980 as a member of Nigerian Defence Academy Regular Course 28.
