Chief of Aircraft Engineering (CAcE)

Air Vice Marshal Onyemaechi Jomo Osahor was appointed Chief of Aircraft Engineering on 14 Oct 2015. Prior to his appointment, he was the Director of Production Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, and before then the Dean School of Air Engineering, Air Force Institute of Technology, Kaduna. The senior officer was once Commander 337 Base Services Group Enugu, and also served as the Principal Planning Officer at the Department of Military Planning, ECOWAS Commission, Abuja. AVM Osahor has attended a number of courses, some of which include National Defence Course (NDC Abuja), Senior Staff Course and Junior Division Course at the prestigious Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji-Nigeria. As a helicopter engineer, AVM Osahor has attended the Officers Engineering Course, Helicopter Engineering Course (France), and Type Rating courses on Puma, Supa Puma, Mi-35P, Aloette and Gazelle helicopters. He holds Bachelor and Master Degrees in Engineering. The senior officer is a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) as well as the International Agency for Emergency Managers. Osahor enlisted into the Nigerian Air Force on 10 Jan 1983 as a member of Nigerian Defence Academy Regular Course 33.
