Air Secretary (Air Sec)

1.      Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Gali Abdulwahab was born on 7 Nov 1962 in Jos, Plateau State. He hails from Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State. He was enlisted into the Nigerian Air Force as a member of CMTC 7 on 9 September 1982 and was commissioned as a pilot officer on 8 Aug 85. He was promoted to the rank of AVM WEF 1 Jan 15.

2.      The Senior Officer has attended several courses namely Primary Flying, 301 Flying Training School; Undergraduate Flying Training, USA; OJT/Research, African Centre for Met Application Niger Republic; Junior and Senior Staff Courses, AFCSC Jaji and National Defence College, Abuja.

3.      The Senior Officer has held several appointments including Instructor in 301 Flying Training School;         ADC Military Administrator, Kwara State; Commanding Officer, Operations Services Wing, 303 FTS Kano; Deputy Director,  Air Space Management Services; Deputy Director, Peace Keeping Operations, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force; Directing Staff and Chief Instructor, Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji; Director of Public Relations and Information; Director of Air Traffic Services; Principal Air Staff Officer to the Chief of Air Staff; Director, Recruitment Resettlement and Reserve and now Air Secretary, Nigerian Air Force.

4.      AVM Abdulwahab has received several awards/medals and decorations which include Best all round Cadet, Best in written work, Junior Division; Best all round HND Meteorological Programme; Outstanding Performance Award by the United Nations and Silver Eagle as Directing Staff and Golden Eagle as Chief Instructor both from the Armed Forces Command and Staff Course, Jaji. Others are UN Medal, General Service Star, Passed Staff Course (+); Fellow Defence College and MSc Strategic Studies.

5.      AVM Abdul-Wahab is married and blessed with children. His hobbies include watching athletics, playing chess and travelling.
